Looking for dining in Branson? For over 100 years, work and agriculture, as well as education, have been important at College of the Ozarks®. From its humble farm beginnings and early canning operations to today's student-run farms and student-produced smoked hams and other foods, "Hard Work U"®, as the College is known, continues to serve the Ozarks in many ways. Every part of your Dobyns dining experience includes work done by students, and products grown on campus. Visit our unique restaurant in Branson featuring a farm to table dining experience unlike any other.

October - December is peak dining season at The Keeter Center. 

 

For lunch service, we do not accept reservations; please check-in at our host stand when you arrive to be added to our waitlist before exploring campus. 

 

We accept dinner reservations starting at 4:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday.  

 


Farm to Fork Philosophy

Our chefs pride themselves in bringing the freshest ingredients to the table. Based on seasonality, we strive to bring vegetables from our campus garden, hydroponics from our campus greenhouses, campus pork products, and student-made products such as fruit-spreads, milled goods, and more. Be sure to save room for our incredible premium ice cream made fresh from milk from our campus dairy.

A: We accept reservations for dinner service starting at 4:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday, and Sunday Brunch starting at 10:00 a.m.   Lunch service is offered on a first come, first serve walk-in basis only.  Because our student servers attend classes, wait times will vary based on student availability and class schedules.  For groups of 15 people or more, please complete our catering group inquiry form.  

A: Yes, for parties of 15 people or more we offer private event spaces and extensive menu options to match your group needs. Please complete our catering group inquiry form.

A: Yes, we offer a special menu for kids ages 12 and under.

A: We pride ourselves on allowing guests to savor their experience while dining at Dobyns Dining Room. This is your time to relax and enjoy spending time with loved ones as our student servers take care of your every need. Because of our fine dining service approach, we do recommend arriving early to get on the waitlist and enjoy perusing the gift shop, the military gallery, or other special points of interest at the College. Because our student servers attend classes, wait times will vary based on student availability and class schedules. For groups of 15 people or more, please complete our catering group inquiry form.

A: We strive to provide world-class service to every guest. We do not have separate kitchens to prepare allergen-friendly items or separate dining areas for guests with allergies or intolerances. However, we instruct our culinary and service staff to assist with and help identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for our guests with food allergies. Please ask your server for menu selection assistance if you have food allergies or ask to speak with one of our chefs.

Recipes

Biscuit Mix

Dobyns Biscuits

INGREDIENTS

2 ½ cups Edwards Mill Biscuit Mix
1 cup milk
½ cup unsalted butter or shortening
2 tsp cimmamon
1 cup dried cranberries

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 350F.  Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Place biscuit mix in large mixing bowl, cut in butter or shortening with pastry cutter or fork until it resembles small, coarse crumbs.

Add milk, cinnamon and cranberries,  stir just until combined.  Form dough into a ball on floured surface.  Pat out 1 ½" thickness.   Cut biscuits with biscuit cutter, using a press and lift action.  Place biscuits on prepared baking sheet.  Bake for 8 minutes, rotate pan, and then bake an additional 4-5 minutes or until light golden brown.

Serve warm with our student-made fruit spreads.
